Hiroshima remembers the Day August 6
Shinzo Abe, japan's prime minister and foreign representatives were on the tens of thousands who gathered in a crowd at the Peace Memorial Park.To observe a moment of silence at 8:15 am local time, when the detonation turned the western Japanese city into an inferno.

Hiroshima is best known as the first city in history to be targeted by a nuclear weapon when the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) dropped an atomic bomb on the city at 8:15 a.m. on August 6, 1945, near the end of World War II. |
